Aon has three inductive reasoning tests: scales ix (5 minutes), scales clx (6 minutes) and scales cls (12 minutes), all about finding the rule in a set of figures.1
Was this useful?
scales clx: which grids follow the rule?
Aon lists Inductive Logical Reasoning (scales clx) with 6 minutes. You see two 3x3 example grids with simple shapes that follow one rule. You then select which of four other grids follow the same rule, and exactly two always do. There is no set number of questions and the test may get harder as you progress.13
scales cls: assign new images to patterns
Aon lists Inductive-logical Thinking (scales cls) with 12 minutes and 12 tasks. You work out the common rules in the patterns shown and assign new images to the right pattern.1
How can you practise for Aon's inductive tests?
Aon publishes practice documents with solutions for scales ix and scales clx. Before the real scales clx test you get three practice tasks that you can repeat as often as you like. Aon notes that many clx tasks are quite straightforward, so aim for speed as well as accuracy. Our free figure sets train the same skill of spotting rules in figures, in our own layout.23
