What pay does easyJet publish for its pilots?
In October 2026, easyJet's careers site says that after 10 years a commercial pilot will have earned £251,000 more than the average university graduate. The airline recruits Captains and Co-Pilots, and Co-Pilots can join as Second Officer, First Officer or Senior First Officer depending on experience and flying hours. For Type Rated Captains, easyJet sets a minimum of 4,000 flying hours, of which 1,000 PIC hours must be on the A320, while Co-Pilots without a type rating need 1,000 flying hours, of which 500 hours must be on aircraft over 10T MTOW. The London Gatwick vacancy for A320 Rated Captains asks for a minimum of 4,000 total flying hours, 500 hours on the A320 family and 500 total PIC hours on jets over 30 Tonnes MTOW.123
