What does the pilot application process involve?

Applications for the Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme are open through CAE. The Generation easyJet selection is free and has three stages: an online application, the ADAPT test, and a group activity with a personal interview. ADAPT tests pilot aptitude (hand and eye coordination, motor skills and spatial awareness), academic, mathematical and technical capacity, technical reasoning and a dynamic multi-task test, virtually or at a CAE location in Europe. easyJet describes the last stage as a virtual, non-technical assessment in which easyJet shows you a presentation, followed by a group exercise and a one-to-one interview. If you do not pass a stage, you may have one re-assessment after six months. The Generation easyJet programme is a multi-crew pilot licence (MPL) route that takes pilots from zero experience to the easyJet Airbus cockpit. The CAE course for Generation easyJet takes about 950 hours of ATPL theory, followed by four flight phases of about 78, 32, 108 and 32 hours.135

What does the cadet programme cost?

easyJet says more than 1,300 cadets have started training through its partnership with CAE. CAE lists the MPL Cadet Programme at EUR 115,000, including the training, all theory exams, UPRT, VAT, uniform and flight bag. Cadets fund the training themselves, and successful applicants can apply for a loan with one of CAE's approved finance partners.234
