What monthly package do Fiji Airways pilots receive?

Brookfield Aviation, recruiting A330/A350 crew on behalf of Fiji Airways, listed a monthly remuneration package from USD 10,610 for captains and from USD 6,214 for first officers in a vacancy archived in April 2025. A June 2025 Brookfield vacancy for first officers set out USD 6,214 in the 1st year, USD 7,381 in the 2nd year and USD 8,043 in the 3rd year, on a 3-year contract. The April 2025 vacancy asked captains for 5,000 hours total multi-crew/multi-engine time, 3,000 hours total jet time and 1,000 hours PIC on the A330/350. The June 2025 vacancy asked first officers for 3,000 hours multi-crew/multi-engine, 1,500 hours jet time and 500 hours SIC on the A330/350, or 2,000 hours on any Airbus variant plus a recent Airbus CCQ.12

What comes with the contract?

According to the June 2025 Brookfield vacancy, the operating base was Nadi, with a roster of 20 days on and 10 days off and 70 monthly block hours. After the first 14 days, when accommodation was provided, first officers received a monthly allowance of USD 1,364, plus ground transportation, positioning flights, a visa and work permit, and travel benefits for family members. The same vacancy lists 24 days of holiday leave and 12 days of sick leave per year. First officers joining with an Airbus CCQ receive A330/350 type training and sign a 2-year bond. In the April 2025 vacancy, the initial contract with Brookfield Aviation was for 12 months and renewable. Rishworth Aviation describes itself as the airline's preferred flight crew provider, having partnered with Fiji Airways for over 25 years.123

What else should pilots know about Fiji Airways?

Brookfield Aviation reported in December 2024 that the Fiji Airways Aviation Academy has full-flight simulators, and listed openings at Fiji Airways and its subsidiary Fiji Link that included ATR72 and DHC6 Twin Otter captains. In May 2020, the president of the Fiji Flight Attendants Union told The Fiji Times that of the 775 staff the airline had terminated, 87 were expatriate pilots and senior management staff.45
