The route, step by step

What pay does Corendon Dutch Airlines publish?
In its September 2024 first officer vacancy, Corendon Dutch Airlines offered a market rate salary without an amount, and the application form asked for the desired gross salary on a full time basis. The same vacancy listed travel expenses, a pension scheme, 25 days of holiday on a full time basis, an expense allowance and a daily allowance when staying away from base. It also mentioned free continuous worldwide travel insurance and discounts on holidays and hotel stays. A 2019 vacancy also offered a market rate salary, and added an annual medical check, keeping the B737 licence valid and a uniform.12
Is there a collective agreement for Corendon pilots?
According to AVV's annual report for 2023, the pilots of Corendon Dutch Airlines approached the union themselves, and almost all of them became members that year. In November 2024, the union AVV said it wanted to negotiate a collective agreement on behalf of the pilots, but that Corendon was blocking this; both sides agreed to put the question to the court in Haarlem on 12 December. In February 2025, AVV reported that Corendon had instead made the pilots a high pay offer, on condition that for the next two years they discuss terms directly with the airline without the union, and that most pilots accepted. AVV and Corendon then withdrew the court case together. AVV's update does not give the amount of that offer. In its annual report for 2025, AVV wrote that more and more pilots had come to it for representation, now including those at Corendon, TUI fly and CHC Helicopters.3478
What does the airline ask from first officers?
The September 2024 vacancy asked for a B737 300-900 type rating with a completed line check, at least 300 hours of recent multi engine experience, an EASA ATPL or CPL, an EU passport, fluent Dutch and the ability to reach Schiphol within one hour. The airline flies the Boeing 737 to holiday destinations around the Mediterranean and North Africa.1
What about the cadet programme?
Through a cadet programme with E-Flight Academy at Teuge, cadets follow a full time modular course of 16 to 20 months to a frozen ATPL, followed by a Boeing 737 type rating. Training costs, including extra expenses, are paid by the student, and cadets receive a starting bonus of EUR 5,000 when they begin. A first officer position depends on hiring needs and the cadet's performance. Applications closed on 31 October 2025, and the partnership was due to start in January 2026 with part of the flying done in electric aircraft, according to the trade site Luchtvaartnieuws.56
